You don’t realise how good your guests are until you get a bad one.  99% of our guests are wonderful and respectful of the things in their room.  Instead of chucking items on the floor, they place them on a chair, if they use the dishes they rinse them out and place them in a pile instead of pulling them all out of the cupboard and filling them with the contents of the sugar sachets and opening all the teabags just for fun, if they drop something on the floor they will use the supplied cloth to clean it up instead of leaving their chips and whatever else they ate on the floor for the cleaner. I guess they didn’t want to make the bin dirty because they put their rubbish in the fridge.

Thankfully we have wonderful cleaners here who attend to the indiscretions of the obnoxious guest who seem to believe, ‘that’s what they get paid for’. Funny thing is, it’s not just the cleaners who clean rooms, it’s the owner too and although the cleaners get paid for it, ultimately the guest pays which is why we take credit card details, not debit cards. Oh and next time they want to stay, the price goes up if indeed we take their booking at all.
